Early Intervention
Kids First Therapy is contracted with the Children’s Developmental Services
Agency and provides services for children from birth to 3 years old who are enrolled in this program.
Orthotics and Prosthetics
Our therapists work together with your family and a local Certified Prosthetist-Orthotist to obtain custom orthoses or prostheses to improve alignment and help patients maximize their mobility.
Equipment Evaluations
Our therapists identify current and potential future equipment needs to achieve optimal positioning and promote your child’s independence and mobility. We work together with your family, equipment vendor, and funding source to ensure the equipment will be successful for your child to use on a daily basis.
Augmentative Communication
Our therapists identify current and potential augmentative communication needs to promote your child’s independence and communication. We work together with your family, equipment vendor, and funding source to ensure a communication device will be successful for your child.
Speech Therapy
Our Speech Team helps children with their communication by addressing receptive language, expressive language, articulation, and augmentative communication.
​Physical Therapy
Our Physical Therapy team helps children improve their mobility by addressing stretching, strengthening, balance, coordination, endurance, gait training, gross motor skills, motor planning, orthotics and prosthetics, and adaptive equipment.
Occupational Therapy
Our Occupational Therapy team helps children improve fine motor development, self-care skills, visual perception, visual motor integration, oral motor function, tolerance to various food textures, sensory integration, school readiness skills, and play and social skills development.​
Head Start/Early Head Start
Kids First Therapy is contracted to provide the therapy services for children enrolled in these programs in Burke and Caldwell counties.
Schools
Kids First Therapy contracts with several schools to provide related services to help students successfully access their educational environment.
